The Gene Siskel Film Center's annual European Union Film Festival serves as North America's largest showcase for films from European Union nations, including countries like Austria, Belgium and Croatia. This year's program features four weeks of films representing all 27 EU nations, plus a special farewell tribune to work from the now post-Brexit U.K. Highlights of the lineup include Werner Herzog's latest documentary, Nomad: In the Footsteps of Bruce Chatwin; a new take on Joan of Arc from French director Bruno Dumont; Young Ahmed, a polarizing story of radicalization by the Dardenne brothers; and All About Me, a biopic about the German comedian Hape Kerkeling from Oscar-winning director Caroline Link.
