'Cabin Boy' screening with director Adam Resnick

An attempt to stretch the absurdist style of Late Night comedy—both Letterman and proto-Conan—into a feature film, Cabin Boy was a bomb. The silly, surreal and charming movie quickly gained a cult audience, largely college stoners. Chris Elliott is true comedy genius, and though this might have been better with original director Tim Burton, it probably wouldn't have been as daring and cool. Adam Resnick, the eventual director, is on hand to present and chat as part of the Onion's 2nd Annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival.
