The life and work of legendary Chicago writer Nelson Algren are brought to the screen in this documentary by filmmaker Michael Caplan, which is being screened at the Field Museum as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival. After the screening, journalists Mary Wisniewski (who wrote a biography of Algren) and Rick Kogan will join Caplan for a panel discussion about Algren's lasting impact on Chicago literature.
