Scofflaw is bucking those trends while maintaining some of the highest standards in town. The gin-focused Logan Square watering hole has taken the city’s cocktail scene by storm, with a rotating menu of libations both common and rare created by head barkeep Danny Shapiro. Scofflaw has kept its cocktail prices low ($8), paired up with local favorite North Shore Distillery to create its own house brand of Old Tom Gin and created a generous space filled with Victorian frippery that makes everyone feel welcome. 3201 W Armitage Ave (773-252-9700).
