With the cold winds of winter setting in, Time Out Chicago has teamed up with our friends at Lost Lake to create a drink that should put you in a tropical state of mind. When the snow starts falling, we like to cozy up at a spot that feels like an escape from the sub-zero temperatures and puddles of slush. What better place to pretend you're on vacation than a tiki bar? That’s why we asked the team at Lost Lake to mix up something special and the result is this Winter Daiquiri Time Out—the name comes from an industry term similar to a bartender's handshake—packed with rum, lime juice and spiced coconut syrup.
You'll be able to order the winter daiquiri at Lost Lake during the entire month of December for just $10 (and while you're at it, you can check out the bar's Sippin Santa's Surf Shack Pop-Up).
