UP Comedy Club highlights Chicago's best stand-up showcases

Mondays at Second City's UP Comedy Club are going to look awfully familiar for the next six weeks. Calling it the Best of Chicago Stand-UP Series, the venue is giving over its Monday night slots to some of the city's finest independent comedy showcases, some of which normally occupy back rooms of bars. All shows start at 8pm, with tickets $12–$15. Here's the lineup so far:

January 18: Entertaining Julia farewell show feat. The Puterbaugh Sisters, Martin Morrow, Bobby Minelli, Natalie Grace Alford, Chris Hauser, Adam Burke and CJ Sullivan

January 25: Parlour Car feat. Matty Ryan, Stephanie Hasz, Danny Kallas, Matty Ryan, Erica Clark, Sean Flannery, Alex Kumin, Derek Smith, Chris Condren and Dale McPeek

February 1: Comedians You Should Know feat. Marty DeRosa, Ricky Gonzalez, Danny Kallas, Martin Morrow and Kristen Toomey

February 8: The Blackout Diaries feat. host Sean Flannery

February 15: UP Comedy Club Presents feat. Dave Helem, felonious Munk, Drew Frees and Calvin Evans

February 22: Arguments & Grievances feat. Adam Burke vs. Dan Freisen, Kristin Toomey vs. Marty DeRosa, Sonia Denis vs. Bobby Budds and Derek Smith vs. Kristin Clifford
