The Cubs' success during the first half of the season has baseball fans across Chicago buzzing. After coming within four games of a World Series bid last fall, the team entered the season as the clear favorites to win it all—something the North Siders haven't accomplished since 1908.

The MLB All-Star Game is set to take place tonight in San Diego, and the Cubs will be represented by seven players, the most of any team. All of this success wasn't missed by Stephen Colbert, who attended Northwestern University and spent 11 years in Chicago (he also does a pretty killer Chicago accent).

During Monday night's episode of The Late Show, Colbert opened with a short sketch in which he appeared to be more pumped about the Cubs' success this year than a baby panda in a field of bamboo. He claims the Cubs can indeed win the World Series this year, so long as he keeps rubbing his lucky horseshoe, his lucky rabbit's foot, his lucky three-legged rabbit and three of the Cubs' best players.

Colbert then proceeds to playfully grope Jake Arrieta, Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo (after Arrieta's recent appearance in ESPN's "Body Issue," we can't blame him).

So there you have it, folks. We all need to start rubbing Cubs players' bodies for good luck if we want them to bring a World Series title to the North Side this year.
