1. Treat yourself to a night of great comedy
The Second City mainstage’s current show, Fool Me Twice, Déja Vu, is one of the theater’s best sketch revues in recent years. Spend your evening belly-laughing at this historic theater. (The Second City, 1616 N Wells St, 8pm. $23-$48)
2. Do dinner and a show at Thalia Hall
In Chicago, British folk singer Billy Bragg is best known for his collaborations with Wilco, but of course he’s much more than that. Head to Pilsen to see this wonderful songwriter collaborating on stage with folk singer Joe Henry. (Thalia Hall, 1807 S Allport St, 7:30pm. $34-$44)
While Museum Week highlights the bigger cultural institutions, go off the beaten path to Intuit: The Center for Intuitive and Outside Art. Their current exhibition, “Post Black Folk Art in America 1930-1980-2016” examines marginalization and diversity in the art world. (Intuit, 756 N Milwaukee Ave, 11am-6pm. Included with museum admission)
