The three best things to do today in Chicago

1. Watch something beautiful

There’s still time to catch some of the amazing films that make up Chicago’s favorite LGBTQ international film festival, Reeling, before the fest’s closing night this Thursday. Tonight, get inspired by documentary In the Turn (6:45pm) and Crystal, a 10-year-old transgender girl growing up in rural Canada. Or laugh with bittersweet dramedy Two 4 One (9:15pm) or see the gorgeous and complex drama Beautiful Something (7pm). (Landmark Century Centre Cinema, 2828 N Clark St, various times. $12)

2. Hear something sensational

Listen to legendary English rocker Robert Plant as he explores the world of world music at FirstMerit Bank Pavilion, backed by the Sensational Space Shifters. This fusion-fueled show was originally scheduled for June 10, but we’re cool with a fashionably late appearance. (FirstMerit Bank Pavilion, 1300 S Linn White Dr, 7:45pm. $30–$130)

3. Examine something iconic

Stop by DePaul’s Warhol exhibition, “The Andy Archetype: Works for the Permanent Collection” to examine not only the iconic themes and styles of the legendary artist, but the dialogue his works created through the effect of his work on other artists. This collection places the works of Warhol and his contemporaries he influenced side by side. (DePaul Art Museum, 935 W Fullerton Ave, 11am–7pm. Free)
