1. Enjoy nature with a drink in hand

The last Tuesday of each month, the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum becomes a kid-free zone. Enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer as you do trivia, play board games and even meet the museum’s animal residents. (Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum, 2430 N Cannon Dr, 6–9pm. $12, $5 for members)

2. Watch Gotham from inside Gotham

For the final screening of the Millennium Park Summer Film Series, the audience chose The Dark Knight from a list of nominees all filmed in Chicago. If Suicide Squad didn’t do it for you, Heath Ledger’s Joker sure will. (Millennium Park, 55 N Michigan Ave, 6:30pm. Free)

3. See the future of Chicago

“50 Designers, 50 Ideas, 50 Wards” asked local architects to propose specialized projects for each of the Chicago wards, based on community need. Learn how the professionals conceptualize urban space and you’ll start to see into the future. (Chicago Architecture Foundation, 224 S Michigan Ave, 9:30am–5pm. Free)
