 1. Admire vintage cartoons

What exactly was so funny about the 1800s, you ask? Find out at “With a Wink and a Nod: Cartoonists of the Gilded Age,” an exhibition of late 19th century cartoons. (Richard H. Driehaus Museum, 40 E Erie St, 10am. $10-$20)

2. See some stand-up comedy

Head to Roscoe Village’s Beat kitchen to watch some of Chicago’s finest stand-up comedians perform. The lineup changes each week, but Chicago Underground Comedy is one of the most consistent weekly stand up shows in the city. (Beat Kitchen, 2100 W Belmont Ave, 9:30 pm. $5)

3. Watch an outdoor movie

Come celebrate the 50th anniversary of Kartemquin Films, a Chicago-based documentary production company as part of Millennium Park’s outdoor film series. Don’t forget your picnic blanket! (Millennium Park, 205 E Randolph St, 6:30 pm. Free)
