1. Skate date

Pair ice skating with a meal at Parson's Chicken & Fish, one of Logan Square's best dining and cocktail date spots. Bringing your own skates is encouraged, but a limited number of skates are also available for rental. (Parson's Chicken & Fish, 2952 W Armitage, 3pm. $5)

2. Hole up at the Hideout

Sam Prekop, frontman of Chicago band the Sea and Cake, performs songs off his most recent solo album as well as a few new tunes. Expect synth melodies and accompaniment by frequent collaborator Archer Prewitt. Opening the show are Jeremy Lemos and Peter Speer. (Hideout, 1354 W Wabansia Ave, 9pm. $7)

3. Find your favorite photo

View photos from the Museum of Contemporary Photography's permanent collection, including pieces by Sally Mann, Diane Arbus and Andy Warhol. The exhibit also features an exploration of the process of photography and photos by rising Midwestern artists. (Museum of Contemporary Photography, 600 S Michigan Ave, 10am–5pm. General admission)
