1. Take a chance

The monthly LGBT+ dance party Chances Dances is currently on a well-deserved winter break, but it's offshoot at Danny's Tavern is still going strong. While dancing to great music remains the overarching theme, guests can expect a more laid-back, conversational vibe than the original party. (Danny's Tavern, 1951 W Dickens Ave, 10pm.)

2. Fool around

Perhaps you've attended a show at the Second City. You may have even seen a mainstage revue previously. One of the comedy institution's latest shows, "Fool Me Twice, Déjà Vu," is worth another visit to the North Side comedy club. Second City vets play alongside rising stars in this sketch show that our critic awarded five stars. (The Second City Mainstage, 1616 N Wells St, 8pm. $23–$48)

3. Test your wits

Think you know movies? Give Logan Theatre's weekly trivia night a try. New categories and questions are brought to the table every week so the game is never quite the same. You don't need to be a film buff to participate—the quiz packs questions for people will all levels of movie knowledge. And even if you don't get every question right, there's beer. (Logan Theatre, 2646 N Milwaukee Ave, 8pm. Free)
