Chicago's favorite schnitzel-slinging German market will debut a new location in Wrigleyville this year, according to the Chicago Tribune. In addition to its outposts in Daley Plaza and Naperville, Christkindlmarket organizers are expanding to The Park at Wrigley, located just outside of Wrigley Field.
That's not all—the Tribune reports that the market will boast an 8,000-square-foot ice skating rink. (That's about half the size of the rink at Millennium Park, which clocks in at 15,910 square feet.) Both the market and rink open on Friday, November 24, a week after the Loop's Christkindlmarket opens to the public on Friday, November 17. The Wrigleyville location will remain open through December 31.
The Park at Wrigley will offer a total of 25 vendors—a mix of retailers who provide wares for the other two markets and hyper-local businesses like Candyality and Decadent Flavor, according to the Tribune. Purists needn't worry; all three locations will stock the signature mug and plenty of Glühwein.
