As much fun as it is to see a band play inside the Hideout, it's even more special to watch a performance that takes place just outside of the hallowed Chicago music venue. You'll have at least eight chances to watch an outdoor performance under the Old Style sign this summer as the Hideout brings back its Picnics on the Porch concert series in July and August.

The acts performing at each concert are mostly local, including folk trio Big Sadie as well as guitar duo Bill MacKay and Ryley Walker. Former Hideout bartender Kelly Hogan will show up for two performances, first performing with Nora O'Connor as Lady Parts and then turning in a duo set with Scott Ligon.

Attendees will be able to lay out a blanket, enjoy the show and purchase picnic boxes provided by nearby grocery store Local Foods. Beverages will also be available, because there's nothing quite like sipping a cold beer when you're sitting under the sun.

Outdoor music isn't the only summer tradition returning to the Hideout this summer—the venue's weekly Veggie Bingo event, which gives away fresh produce and other prizes from local businesses, will occur every Wednesday at 5pm from June 21 through September 6.

Take a look at the complete lineup of Hideout Picnics on the Porch concerts below, all of which are just $10 to attend and begin at 6pm.

July 14 – Lady Parts (Kelly Hogan and Nora O’Connor)

July 21 – Bill MacKay and Ryley Walker

July 28 – The Lowest Pair

Aug 4 – Kelly Hogan and Scott Ligon
