2. Be there and be in the square
Logan Square celebrates the arts (and the warm weather) with a weekend-long festival centered around the area that the neighborhood derives its name from. Show up for live music from Xenia Rubios (Friday), Screaming Females (Saturday) and Blitzen Trapper (Sunday) or explore pop-up art exhibitions at local businesses. 3. Party on the beach
Chicago Sport and Social Club is hosting another epic party and this time it involves BBQ, ice cold beer and tons of backyard games. At this beach party, guests will be able to enjoy a live DJ and chill out in a beer garden all day long. (North Avenue Beach, 1600 N Lake Shore Dr, 11am–6pm. $30 party pass, $10 general admission)
4. Enjoy some bikes and franks
Tour Chicago’s finest hot dog stands on your bike during the annual Tour de Franks. Fuel up at Red Hot Ranch, Gene’s Sausage Shop, Hot ‘G’ Dog, Flub a Dub Chub and many more iconic stands. 5. Celebrate Chicago's LGBT community
Show up for one of the nation's largest LGBT Pride celebrations, as rainbow-covered floats and enthusiastic participants make their way through a four-mile route on Chicago's North Side that winds through Boystown and Lakeview. Arrive early to grab a spot along the street and prepare for one of the summer's most lovely celebrations. (Starts at Montrose Ave and Broadway, Sun noon. Free)
