The nice young missionaries of The Book of Mormon will be ringing doorbells again at the Bank of America Theatre next summer. The touring production of the Tony-winning musical from creators Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Robert Lopez will come back to Chicago for seven weeks beginning June 28, 2016. Cast members from the show made a surprise appearance at this evening's Broadway in Chicago Summer Concert at Pritzker Pavilion to announce the run.
This will be The Book of Mormon's third stint in the city. A dedicated Chicago company first brought the show to the Bank of America Theatre from December 2012 to October 2013; the touring company returned for 12 weeks earlier this year. Group sales for next year's visit are underway; individual tickets will go on sale at a later date.
