If you're thinking about getting hitched in Chicago, you might want to start stocking up on ramen packets now. The average Chicago wedding rings up at $60,035, according to a new study from the Knot. The study, which polled a total of 13,000 brides and grooms who wed in 2016, found that the national average clocked in at $35,329. If you're doing the math, that makes a Chicago wedding almost twice as expensive as the national average.

Overall, our fair city is the fourth most expensive place to get married in the U.S., topped only by New Jersey ($62,606), New York–Long Island ($67,831) and New York–Manhattan ($78,464). Those price tags include everything from venue to photographer to wedding cake—and all the party favors in between.

If you're looking to relocate before you say "I do," consider the most affordable places to tie the knot: Arkansas ($19,522), Utah ($20,337) and Montana ($20,794). Hey, with the average engagement lasting 15 months, you've got time to reconsider this whole wedding thing.
