Steppenwolf announces fall Lookout programming

Steppenwolf Theatre Company has revealed the second round of programming for its “Lookout” series in the 1700 Theatre. The lineup is heavy on music and storytellers.

In chronological order, the slate includes:

Sept 8–10: Live lit show You’re Being Ridiculous features stories around the theme of “Skeletons”

Sept 23, 24: Writer-performer Fawzia Mirza’s solo play Me, My Mom & Sharmila

Sept 30: The band Beauty School marks the release of EP Ghost Beach

Oct 1: Legendary improv masters TJ & Dave

Oct 3, 10: Comedy group Dominizuelan turns the theater into community bar Tumbao

Oct 5: Piano blues band The Claudettes

Oct 8: Tales and Tunes with the Irish American Heritage Center

Oct 15: The Smiths/Morrissey tribute band The Handsome Devilz

Oct 21: Singer-songwriter Akenya

Oct 22: WildClaw Theatre presents the best of DeathScribe: An Evening of Radio Horror

Oct 26–28: Suzanne Petri and Steppenwolf ensemble member Robert Brueler share songs and stories in Torch, Sass and Swing!

Oct 29, 30: New York–based dance-performance project BOOMERANG presents Repercussion

Nov 3: Music from Charlie Strater and friends

Nov 5: Carolyn Hoerdemann and Maggie Graham host “live dating game show and cabaret” Looking for Love
