Ike Barinholtz (that weird looking dude from The Mindy Project) was on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night to promote his latest movie, Sisters starring Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. The pair reminisced about spending time in Chicago—Barinholtz grew up in Rogers Park, while Colbert attended Northwestern University and spent 11 years in the city.

Barinholtz noted that he had to lose about 25 pounds for his role in Sisters, something that he probably wouldn't be able to do in a city that's famous for its wet sandwiches, cold winters and affinity for alcohol. Colbert then asked him to say the most Chicago sentence he could think of, to which he responded, "You can tell him for me dat I said kiss my ass." The two continued with a hysterical exchange, donning Chicago accents and rattling off dozens of stereotypes about the city.

Even if his accent was mildly belittling, it's good to see that Colbert hasn't forgotten his Chicago roots. He said that he's "professionally from Chicago," and that "a lot of comedy today is rolled in the bread crumbs of Chicago." Thanks for thinking of us, Steven—let's get a breaded steak sandwich next time you're in town.
