If you attended Riot Fest in Douglas Park last September, you might have seen a sick red convertible parked to the west of the festival's stages. The 1990 Chevrolet Camaro, affectionately named the "Bitchin' Camaro" after a Dead Milkmen song, has gone missing. The car was parked in Cobra Lounge's parking lot in the West Loop this week, but when the folks at Riot Fest went to pick it up to get its transmission fixed, it was nowhere to be found.
"We don't know if it was towed, or stolen, or we forgot where we parked it," said an announcement on the festival's website. They also said that there car may have a cardboard cutout of John Stamos in the front seat and AC/DC and Rush cassette tapes in the center console.
Riot Fest booked the Dead Milkmen for this year's festival, and used that as an excuse to buy the throwback ride. Last summer, we got the chance to spend an afternoon riding around in the Camaro with talent buyer Buck Foley—it was pretty dope.
The festival is asking anyone who has information on the whereabouts of the car to email riotfestcamaro@gmail.com.
If someone I know took the #RiotFestBitchinCamaro as a practical joke I will kick their ass. Not cool. #RiotFestMissinCamaro

We'll buy a @LouMalnatis pizza for the person who finds @RiotFest's Camero. Deal? https://t.co/51xmp9XR1d
