I love fried chicken. Last week, when Shake Shack announced its new fried chicken sandwich, the Chick'n Shack, I got pretty excited for what could be a good new lunch alternative for me nearby.
The Chick'n Shack is a fried chicken breast on top of shredded lettuce, crispy pickles and buttermilk herb mayonnaise on a potato roll. The fried chicken is crunchy with just a bit of spice, giving it a good flavor against the lettuce, pickles and mayo. The bun is light and holds the sandwich together well. Overall, this new menu item is a tasty choice if you aren't feeling a burger or happen to have a hankering for fried chicken in River North or the Loop. Pair it with some of those hot and salty crinkle-cut fries if you're extra hungry. You really can't go wrong.
