Wondering what all of the snow plows in the city are doing instead of clearing your street?
Thanks to a cool website, you can see exactly where each snow plow in Chicago is operating. The City of Chicago Plow Tracker maps the current location of more than 300 active snow removal vehicles and more than 100 pieces of other heavy equipment for removing large piles.
Side streets across town are often ignored the Department of Streets and Sanitation during snowstorms, so keeping a close eye on the Plow Tracker might help explain why your street is still unnavigable—or help prove the city's logistical incompetence.
Either way, it's pretty interesting to watch.
