We're big fans of Same Day Cafe, the charming Logan Square restaurant/soda fountain that opened in May. Starting in two weeks, the restaurant is adding dinner hours and new evening menu items. Hours will be Tue-Wed 10am-8pm, Thu-Sat 10am-10pm and Sun 10am-4pm, and the new menu will include house-made mac and cheese, savory pot pies and new daily and weekly specials.
Same Day is also now BYOB, which means you can bring along booze and have Same Day add it to their terrific housemade sodas. Soda flavors include blackberry, lime and grapefruit, all of which sound like they would complement gin, and caramel, coffee and chocolate, which we'd probably add some whiskey to.
