Roxie's by the Slice, Brendan Sodikoff's pizza spot in Bucktown, closed Sunday night and will be reopening as a burger concept for the summer. The change comes a couple days after Sodikoff said that he'd be closing Cocello to reconcept that space into a bakery and coffee shop.
After announcing that Roxie's was closing with a sign on the window, Sodikoff responded to comments on Twitter:
@awarre73 summer surprise at Roxie's. Expect a pop up summer burger shop with our friends at Sir Kensington's pic.twitter.com/tW8DUAvulw

Considering that a burger is Sodikoff's most lauded dish to date, I've got high hopes for a burger pop-up. I reached out to Hogsalt, Sodikoff's restaurant group, to ask for more details about the burger shop, but haven't heard back yet.
Update: Roxie’s Burger Shop will serve cheeseburgers, fries and shakes, plus condiments from Sir Kensington's. The restaurant will open at 11am each day and is expected to open by mid-June.
