With summer quickly approaching (it's mere weeks away!), it's time to start planning for everyone's favorite smorgasbord, the Taste of Chicago. The annual festival is about more than gigantic turkey legs and Eli's Cheesecake—there's also a packed lineup of live music to consider when you're formulating your schedule.

As usual, headlining acts will be performing in the Petrillo Music Shell, where you'll be able to watch concerts from the lawn for free or shell out some cash to purchase seats within the pavilion. The long weekend kicks off on Wednesday with pop singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, who recently sang the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned song "How Far I'll Go" for the Moana soundtrack. On Thursday, Latin band Café Tacvba brings rock en Español to the Taste ahead of Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals' set (with support from local garage rockers Twin Peaks) on Friday. Electro-pop act Passion Pit will get the crowds grooving on Saturday and classic R&B trio the O'Jays are scheduled to close out the festival on Sunday.
