Chicago is my kind of place. Even though I don't live here, I always enjoy my visits to the city, whether I'm here to play a show or just see the sights. This weekend, I'll be in town to perform songs from my latest album, All American, at the House of Blues. If you want to experience an unforgettable day in the city, check out some of my favorite places in Chicago.
Favorite museum
Shedd Aquarium: The Shedd Aquarium has got to be one of the coolest places in the world. There’s so much to do and see—it’s massive. I love exploring what’s beneath the water and still feel safe behind the glass.
Favorite restaurant
Gino's East: When in Chicago, one must eat pizza. Gino's is my favorite because it’s one of the originals and it’s the best deep-dish I’ve ever tried.
Favorite bar
The Signature Lounge at the John Hancock Center: You can’t beat this view, especially at night. I love kicking back for a drink or two during my downtime when I’m in Chicago. I always try my best to make it to the 96th floor.
Favorite music venue
House of Blues: What a neat venue; it’s intimate and so many of the greats have graced the stage. I’m so lucky I get to play the House of Blue in Chicago.
Favorite store
Apartment Number 9: This Chicago-based store has some pretty trendy clothing options. I love their classy yet unique style. Plus, the atmosphere in the store is rad.
Favorite Chicago movie
Home Alone: I will never get tired of re-watching this Christmas movie year after year. The original is my favorite by far.
Nick Carter performs at the House of Blues on March 19. Tickets are still available.
