With Movies in the Parks practically screening more movies than Netflix this summer, Chicago didn’t really need another outdoor film series, but after seeing this lineup, we’ll gladly welcome another.

Movies on the Pier gets at the heart of what makes a great outdoor movie night with its six uber classic and beloved flicks showing at Navy Pier's Skyline Stage for free each Thursday.

And hey, this weather won't last forever, so push through any fun, free event burnout you're already suffering, hop on the El and enjoy the shows. If watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off sandwiched between the lake and the skyline doesn't say, "I'm making the most of summer in Chicago!" then we don't know what does. Children under 18 are required to attend with a parent or guardian.

Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (Thursday, August 6, 8pm)

Top Gun (Thursday, August 13, 8pm)

Ghostbusters (Thursday, August 20, 8pm)

The Goonies (Thursday, August 27, 8pm)

Caddyshack (Thursday, September 3, 7pm)

Jaws (Thursday, September 10, 7pm)
