The Chicago Humanities Festival has added book talks by two comedy kings to its spring programming, the fest announced this morning. Nick Offerman, late of Parks and Recreation, will appear May 28 at the Merle Reskin Theatre to read from his new book, Gumption: Relighting the Torch of Freedom with America's Gutsiest Troublemakers, while writer-director-producer Judd Apatow will make a lunchitme appearance at the Art Institute June 18 to talk about his own new tome, Sick in the Head: Conversations About Life and Comedy.

Both events go on sale at 10am Monday, April 6 for CHF members, and 10am Thursday, April 9 for non-members. The price of admission ($32–$38 for each) includes a copy of the respective book.

Offerman will also appear with his wife, Megan Mullally, at the Chicago Theatre on May 7 as part of their Summer of 69: No Apostrophe tour. Offerman announced last night on Twitter that the pair would be canceling their Indianapolis date on May 16, in response to Indiana's controversial new Religious Freedom Restoration Act and its perceived legalization of anti-LGBT discrimination.
