What's on? We don't know, but that's half the fun.

For the past few years, the Chicago International Film Festival has included a special surprise screening of an unannounced film to eager audiences. This Sunday, you could see this year’s free mystery film yourself. Tickets will be given away at 7pm at AMC River East 21 for an 8pm screening of the undisclosed film. Here's the catch: You must bring a CIFF T-shirt, sweatshirt or hoodie (you can buy one at the theater), and you should probably get there early, because they're sure to run out.

While past films have consistently featured major stars, the quality of the films themselves has been on the spotty side. In 2010, CIFF brought Chicago the forgettable drama The Next Three Days, starring Russell Crowe and Elizabeth Banks, whereas the year before, attendees were thrilled to discover they were about to see Terry Gilliam's Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. And 2008’s screening of Guy Ritchie’s RockNRolla proved that as much as we love guessing, CIFF can throw pretty much anything as us and that's really the fun of it.
