It looks like we can't ignore this year's winter weather predictions anymore. On Wednesday, Streets and Sanitation commissioner Charles Williams told City Council's budget committee that we should be preparing for a whopping four feet of snow this winter, and that the earliest storm could hit as soon as mid-November. Yeah, we're not thrilled either.

According to the Sun-Times, the city has 370,000 tons of salt ready to go; Williams also reports that we'll have a colder January and February.

After a mild winter last year, maybe we had it coming. Regardless, you'll find us at one of these winter bars keeping the cold away with a fancy cocktail or dark beer.
