With Wednesday night’s opening (and Thursday morning’s unanimously positive reviews) out of their way, cast members of Hamilton Chicago are ready to follow their Broadway counterparts in getting you ready for your own civic duty. Today, Friday, October 21, from 12:30–1:30pm, the actors who play Chicago’s “Schuyler Sisters” will be looking for minds at work in the vestibule of the PrivateBank Theatre (18 W Monroe St).

Cast members Ari Afsar (Eliza), Samantha Marie Ware (Peggy) and Tony Award winner Karen Olivo (Angelica), along with ensemble member Jin Ha (who plays dad Philip Schuyler among other roles) and production stage manager Cameron Holsinger, will be volunteering alongside Cook County Clerk David Orr to register Cook County residents to vote on November 8.

Actors from Hamilton’s Broadway cast began helping voters register outside the Richard Rodgers Theatre last month. Sunday, October 23 is the last day to register or update registration online in Chicago and Cook County, but registration can be completed at official early voting locations through November 7. In order to register, you must be a U.S. citizen who will be 18 years old by November 8 and have resided in your precinct for at least 30 days. Bring two forms of ID, with at least one showing your current address, from the following list:

● Illinois driver's license Illinois state ● ID Employee or student ID ● Credit card ● Social security card ● Birth certificate ● Utility bill in applicant's name ● Mail postmarked to the applicant
● Valid U.S. passport ● Public aid ID card ● Lease or rental contract
