’Tis the season for holiday shopping and if you have a summer music festival fan on your list, there's no better time to score a deal on tickets to some of 2017's biggest fests. This week, the organizers behind Pitchfork Music Festival and Riot Fest have announced dates for the 2017 edition of each festival and announced holiday sales on advance tickets. If you're willing to buy tickets without knowing which bands will be playing at the festival, you could save a few bucks.
Returning to Union Park on July 14–16, 2017, Pitchfork Music Festival will begin selling tickets for next summer's event on Monday, November 28. A limited amount of holiday three-day passes will be available to purchase for $140. Once they're gone, three-day passes will be on sale for the regular price of $165 and single day tickets will be available for $65.
Advance tickets to the 2017 edition of Riot Fest are already on sale—you can snag a three-day general admission pass for $149.98, a three-day VIP pass for $299.98 or a deluxe three-day VIP pass for $649. Prices will increase as the festival draws closer, so you'll get the best deal by buying early (though you won't know who will be performing). According to its website, Riot Fest will return to Douglas Park on September 15–17, 2017.
