Wrapped up in building-permit red tape, the Factory Theater has had to postpone the opening of its new home in Rogers Park—and with it, the company's season opener Zombie Broads. The new comedy by Corrbette Pasko and Sara Sevigny had been scheduled to open September 25, and rehearsals were underway.
"The Factory has discovered, as so many others have before them, that when the City of Chicago says 'wait,' that is exactly what you must do," the company said in a statement announcing the indefinite postponement this morning. The Factory raised more than $20,000 via an Indiegogo campaign for the buildout of the space at 1621–23 W Howard St, near the Howard CTA terminal.
