Cubs fans flood streets after blowout win in Pittsburgh

We had a feeling the Cubs would pull through with a win tonight. Maybe it was the 40-pound goat that the owners of Taco in a Bag devoured with fellow competitive eater Kobayashi, maybe the Blackhawks sent the team a slap shot of good juju from the United Center (only to lose their opening game themselves) or maybe it’s just that Jake Arrieta, Kris Bryant and the Cubs are just that good this year.

Regardless of the cause, the Cubs did win(!!!)—and did so to the tune of a blowout 4-0 score away from home in Pittsburgh.

Meanwhile, Chicagoans did what they do best—they cheered on their team from everywhere and anywhere they could. Here’s some of the best scenes of the night.
