A coffee shop with a roastery, a brewery, sandwiches and a sprawling patio? We're moving in. For the uninitiated, Colectivo Coffee is a popular Milwaukee-based coffee spot that's putting down roots in Chicago with a Lincoln Park location (2530 N Clark) opening today.
You can sample Colectivo's coffee on-site, alongside espresso-based favorites, or take a bag of beans to go ($15–$18 per pound). For sustenance, there's an array of hand-made baked goods—including cinnamon rolls, ham and cheese croissants and muffins— and heartier dishes like baked oatmeal and a falafel burger. And when happy hour rolls around, head back for the coffee house's three taps, which offer a variety of house beers developed by the employees.
To top it all off, expect this place to be open later than most other coffee shops (perfect for patio lounging with a beer)—until 10pm Sunday through Thursday and 11pm Saturday. Thank you, Wisconsin, for the coffee emporium of our dreams. And cheese curds, of course.
