Since last August, we've been able to learn more about the statues and sculptures throughout the city thanks to Statue Stories. The initiative, funded by the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation, has Chicago's stars, writers, vocal talents and playwrights (think Shonda Rhimes, Steve Carell, Bob Newhart and Renée Fleming) write monologues voicing the statues throughout the city, and you can listen to them all on your phone through a QR code. The next time you're out walking around and pass the Bean, the Picasso or the North and South Lions, take a second to listen to the stories of our public art. Now you have until September 2017 to hear all 30.
Chicago's Statue Stories will continue through next September
