Adam Pally, star of The Mindy Project and gone-too-soon Happy Endings, was in Chicago this week to help promote "The Crunch Bowl," a Cap'n Crunch-themed obstacle course set up at North Avenue Beach. Contestants got to try their hand at a variety of strange tasks for a chance to win a trip to Mexico and a year of free Cap’n Crunch cereal (yahoo, right?).

Pally spent four years of his childhood in suburban Skokie, which means that he spent a lot of time watching low-budget car dealership commercials. We decided to see how much of those terrible TV spots stuck with him by challenging him to a "Chicago accent-off."

We'll let you decide how he fared.
