After announcing last week that the well-loved chef would be leaving the Fountainhead Group (Fountainhead, Fountainhead Market, The Northman), we now know where he's headed—to the downtown chain Caffè Baci. Friedman worked for the company in the late '90s, and now he's coming back with a few upgrades for the chain.
He'll helm the kitchens beginning in March, introducing new menus with locally sourced products and modern Italian cuisine by early April. Friedman will also add a lunch menu and daily specials to the restaurants. Here's to a better quick lunch in the Loop, Chicago.
