Sunday was a good day to be Chancelor Bennett. The 21-year-old was granted Chicago's Outstanding Youth of the Year Award by Mayor Rahm Emanuel. The honor was bestowed upon him for his "outstanding contributions to the youth of the state of Illinois," according to the plaque. "You have given yourself to the upward mobility of young people throughout the state of Illinois." He humbly tweeted his response, "It's an honor to bear that weight."

Elsewhere, the MC flashed his acting chops on Adult Swim's Black Dynamite cartoon, appearing as the voice of Bob Marley. His Jamaican accent could use some work, but good on him.
And, a few days ago, it was revealed via Instagram that the South Side native has been kicking it in the studio with Madonna. He is rumored to appear on her upcoming 2015 album. The 56-year-old pop icon gave him a Razor scooter in thanks. Because she is so in touch with the kids these days.
