Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is planning on leaving Lincoln Park. This week he put his seven-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom home on the market for $3.15 million. He bought the home last July for $2.85 million, so if it sells for the asking price, the former NBA Defensive Player of the Year will make quite a haul.
The 7,500-square-foot spot has four fireplaces, three floors and an amazing rooftop. Noah lived in suburban Bannockburn before moving to Lincoln Park. After just a year, it looks like he's either bored of the North Side neighborhood or just a savvy real estate investor.
Next season is the last on Noah's contract, and he's set to earn $13.4 million, which makes the price of his home seem like a drop in the bucket. He has had consistent injury problems over the past two seasons, and the Bulls might not re-sign him next year. This sale could point toward him leaving Chicago—maybe he's just sick of paying upwards of $33,000 in annual property taxes.
