Rejoice, Hamilton fans: Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical masterpiece finally begins previews one week from tonight. If you were lucky enough to snag tickets back in June (or are a Broadway in Chicago subscriber), you can start counting the days until you see the show at the PrivateBank Theatre. If you didn’t? Get ready to start entering the ticket lottery every morning.

Hamilton will offer 44 seats at $10 each to winners of the daily digital lottery, beginning with the first preview September 27. Every performance day will have a drawing, and on two-show days you'll need to enter separate drawings for the matinee and evening shows (check broadwayinchicago.com/hamiltonlotteryfaq for the lottery opening and closing times, which are subject to change.) Bookmark this link to enter, and then get ready to watch your inbox like a hawk—winners will be notified by email and must claim their tickets within 60 minutes.

Miranda is also offering a chance to attend the Chicago opening night, October 19, as his guest—and you don’t even have to be local. On the charity sweepstakes platform Prizeo, you can purchase entries (starting at $10) to win two tickets, hotel and airfare, plus entry to the opening night after-party. The money goes to the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, a nonprofit that develops history curricula for schools—including the curriculum for Hamilton’s education initiative, which enables students in New York and now in Chicago to see the show. See Miranda announce the contest in this YouTube video:
