Starting today, you can get Big Star's great margaritas and cheap tacos with a simple swipe of a credit card. Since 2009, the favorite summer patio restaurant in Wicker Park has been notoriously cash-only, with a simple menu focused mostly on eats and drinks under $10.
But don't fret. You'll still be able to get $3 whiskey shots and $3 Schlitz, but you'll also be able to get pitchers and pitchers (and pitchers?) of margaritas without worrying about the amount of cash you're carrying. The announcement comes just in time for patio season, so bottoms up.
