Beyoncé's Formation Tour came to Chicago on Friday and Saturday for a two-night stand at Soldier Field that can easily be described as a religious experience. The pair of shows gave Chicago exactly the inspiration it needed, right when it needed it. From her all-lady band and backup dancers to the soundtrack of Prince's "Purple Rain" during intermission (at which point it started to rain on both nights, making one seriously consider that Beyoncé may control the weather), the entire stadium was able to witness the magic that is a Beyoncé performance.
On Tuesday, Bey posted a behind the scenes video from her show on Saturday to her Facebook page. It shows her and her backup dancers riding around on the back of a golf cart in costume, the mesmerizing view of the stadium as she walks out onto the stage during "Formation" and a medley of other views that very few people in Soldier Field were privy to.
What became clear over the weekend (and through the video) was that no matter who wins the presidential election in November, Beyoncé is our country's queen.
