The Frank Lloyd Wright Trust is currently seeking volunteers to help give tours of the Frederick C. Robie House in Hyde Park.

Training sessions are required for all volunteers. The training sessions, located at 5757 S Woodlawn Ave, begin next week Tuesday, November 3, and last through November 19. Training days are Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as two Saturdays during the day. Those who complete the training, made up of lectures, workshops and online components, will receive a certification.

Full-fledged volunteers have access to continuing education courses, discounts at the museum store and other benefits such as access to membership outings.

Those who are interested are asked to attend an informal orientation and must qualify to be enrolled in the volunteer program. For more information, visit the Frank Lloyd Wright Trust's volunteer information page or apply to become a volunteer by filling out this form.

Good luck!

The Frederick C. Robie House is a national landmark that dates back to the very first National Register of Historic Places, created October 15, 1966. Wright designed the home in 1908 while living in Oak Park and the Robie family, who it was designed for, moved into the house in 1910. Though they moved out just a little over a year later, the home has retained their namesake.
