This spring, Chicagoans will be able to enjoy the warm embrace of another human being without any of the baggage that comes with a relationship. A new Indiegogo campaign is looking for $15,000 in funding to start a professional cuddling service called Cuddle Club Chicago.
The business is marketed as a form of therapy for conditions ranging from PTSD to drug addiction. Sexual conduct will be strictly prohibited, and security cameras will be on-site to prevent any caressing mishaps.
Customers will be able to purchase sessions in 60, 90 and 180-minute increments, as well as specialty overnight cuddle fests, ranging in price from $100 to $500. Sessions are one-on-one, but arrangements can be made for groups.
Founders Charles Little and Michele Borchew have invested a good deal of personal funds into Cuddle Club, and the Indiegogo campaign is the "finishing stretch." If all goes according to plan, Cuddle Club Chicago will secure a space and open in May.
If you're lacking on human contact or simply want a better cuddle partner than your current one, just wait. Your prayers could soon be answered.
