On Wednesday night, Chicago's skyline got a temporary addition in the form of a glorious double rainbow. A passing thunderstorm quickly gave way to what was the most beautiful light-bending phenomenon in the city so far this year. In May 2015, another set of double rainbows lit up the city, but the scale and visibility of the arc of last night's were arguably more captivating.
It's been a pretty rough month in Chicago (and the nation in general), and last night's visit from the ROY G. BIV twins was just the spirit boost that the city needed.
Check out some of the best photos of the refracting spectacle.
