When it comes to mouthwatering pictures of food, Chicago has some of the best. Whether they're showcasing pretty entrées, desserts or ingredients, our chefs know how to make a tasty looking dish—and some of them even serve up pictures of their creations on Instagram. Want to vicariously experience some picturesque cuisine? We've rounded up some of the best Instagram accounts run by Chicago chefs.
Jimmy Papadopoulos of Bohemian House
In addition to pictures of beautiful plates, we really love it when we get to see a little bit of what happens behind the scenes. Papadopoulos has a solid mix of finished dishes, ingredients he's using (and where he sources them) and his kids. What's not to love?
Matthias Merges of Yusho, A10 and Billy Sunday
Is there anything Merges can't do? He's a great photographer with an Instagram account that showcases bowls of ramen as well as his adventures to other restaurants and bars around the city, the new brewery he's working on, Billy Sunday, A10... we could keep going, but you should just check it out.
Beverly Kim of Parachute
Parachute has a great lineup of pretty dishes, giving chef Beverly Kim a large amount of photogenic Instagram fodder. Follow her for pictures of great Korean-American food and stay for the adorable photos of Kim and Johnny Clark's kid, Daewon.
Aaron Lirette of GreenRiver
So, we know GreenRiver has really fantastic cocktails, but have you tried its menu? The uni spaghetti is seriously to die for. It all comes from Aaron Lirette, who has a small but fantastic Instagram documenting the dishes and ingredients at GreenRiver.
Grant Achatz of Alinea, Next, The Aviary and Roister
It should come as no surprise that Alinea's chef also has a fantastic Instagram. See what the Alinea Group is up to through Achatz's eyes, including art, food and more.
Amanda Downing of Rockit Bar and Grill and Rockit Burger Bar
Rockit's chef curates a pretty chill Instagram—she's a huge Cubs fan and posts tons of motivational pictures mixed with images of your favorite comfort foods. We love her for the sheer amount of tacos she posts.
Cory Morris of Rural Society
Sure, there's a ton of photos of meat on Morris's Instagram, but that's to be expected from the chef of the Argentinian steakhouse. We can practically smell the wood-fired grill from here.
Lee Wolen of Boka
The dishes that come out of the Boka kitchen are always beautiful, and as such, the photos from Wolen are also pretty fantastic. If delicious looking food isn't enough for you, Wolen also owns a puppy.
Dana Cree of 1871 Dairy
Because no meal is complete without dessert, we figured we'd treat you to Cree's Instagram—packed from start to finish with cute and whimsical photos of ice cream, Cree's food adventures and her cat.
