It's a new week, Chicago, and somehow we're already almost done with August—how did this happen? There's no better time to take full advantage of the remaining days of summer by heading to the nearest patios and rooftops and grabbing a drink. This week, we've rounded up a few happy hours that you can take advantage of outside as well as some upscale spots to make you feel extra fancy on the cheap.
Monday: We could eat a burger every day if we wanted, which makes Mondays especially sweet, because there's a great one at DryHop Brewers. Grab the Barman's Banquet for $15, which includes a burger, a pint of your choice of beer and a shot. What's not to love?
Monday–Thursday: Absinthe happy hour? Yes please. From 6–8pm you can grab special cocktails at the Violet Hour made with absinthe that are only available during the happy hour—you can also sample traditional absinthes on their own.
Monday–Friday: Head to the Hampton Social from 3–6pm for half price rosé and half price pizzas while lounging on the restaurant's patio.
Monday–Friday: Take advantage of a happy hour at a restaurant you may only save for a special occasion. Sepia offers a greatest hits menu from 4–7pm with $7 drinks and snacks, giving you an upscale experience at a more reasonable price.
Monday–Friday: Cheap drinks and food with a great view of Lake Michigan are on tap at the Miller Lite Beer Garden at Navy Pier. Grab a Miller or Coors Lite draft for a skimpy $3 or splurge on a vodka lemonade for $6. Grab a cheese pizza for $4 and nachos for $6.
