The nerve center of after-work drinking, Rivers, has grown a more refined appendage: Rittergut, named for the owner’s ancestral homeland in Germany. Wines from around the world are available by the glass, and flights offer the best value, with generous pours of three whites, reds or sparklings ringing in around $12. Snacks like Marcona almonds or bruschetta with quince paste and jamón serrano are nice accompaniments, though nothing beats watching the hapless kayakers from the sunny riverside patio.
